Shisenkan Kobudō Kyū-Waza Densho: The Complete Guide to Nine Basic Levels

The curriculum of Shisenkan Kobudō comprises of Taijutsu (”unarmed combat”), Bōjutsu (”staff/stick combat”), Kenjutsu (”swordsmanship”), Shurikenjutsu ("projectiles"), and Shūmon ("religious gate"). The knowledge base of these disciplines is a group of martial traditions that have been transmitted through many generations of Japanese warriors since the ancient period to the present.
       The Densho (”written transmission”) presents the full basic curriculum in its systematic division to nine levels. The totality of the nine levels prepares the deshi for entering the yūdansha (”black-belt levels”) curriculum.
